Pilates is a great way for everyone to improve their balance, posture, joint stability and muscle tone. It is often recommended by G.P.s and health professionals as a means of recovering from injury. It is also great for fitness and for fun

Physioclinic + Pilates classes are run by Kath Taylor who is a Chartered physiotherapist with great experience of teaching Pilates as a means of recovering from injury and for general health and wellbeing.

Kath originally trained to be a Contemporary dancer and as such incorporates elements of contemporary dance into her classes as a means of increasing dynamic stability and flow throughout. This style of Pilates has been extremely popular and successful with all our clients.

I really enjoy Kath's pilates class. I've been going for about a year and I particularly like the dynamic movement of the exercises coupled with a strong sense of control. I always feel reassured that Kath's training as a physiotherapist provides a safe environment within which I can try to stretch myself without taking risks. I started going simply to give it a try but I noticed quite quickly that the lower back pain I had had for many years had completely gone. I have also noticed the difference in the firmness of my thighs, stomach and bottom and I only go once a week!

At Physioclinic+ we offer Pilates in a number of different ways:

Personal Pilates Training

Do you have a specific training need within your sport or an injury that hasn�t fully recovered?

Then try our Personal Pilates Training sessions. Get to the root cause of the problem with an individual physiotherapy assessment, then work with our trainers to devise a comprehensive Pilates programme to achieve full recovery and more.

Open Pilates Classes

Designed for fitness and fun, these classes are small. With no more than 12 people per session, to ensure that you receive individual attention.

For your safety, prior to inclusion in the classes you will be required to undertake an assessment by our physiotherapists to determine your appropriate level of exercise.
